Richard Gyamfi, a former Ghanaian footballer, has been charged with the murder of two children.
Gyamfi, a former player for Kum Apem Stars in Sunyani in Ghana's Division Two, has been arrested and is supporting the investigation.
The offender was apprehended by the Ghana Police Service in collaboration with community members.
Police recovered multiple human body parts in the refrigerator of the suspect, Richard Gyamfi, according to the article.
In an interview with GNA, the deceased's father, Thomas Agyei, said that the deceased, who was a twin, left home Friday morning but was not to be located by 1900 hours.
He claimed that other residents, including a family member, told him that the deceased had been seen with the suspect. As a result, they got suspicious and gathered a group of young people to travel to the suspect's father's home in Abesim, Alaska.
Mr Agyei said they met the suspect at his residence, but he (the suspect) said the youngster had gone home. They spent the entire night searching for the deceased, along with the suspect, but were unable to locate him.
He claimed that the deceased's mother got concerned and requested that the search party return to investigate the suspect's home, but that the suspect was insulted and began an argument with the deceased's mother.
“The search party became enraged and returned to the suspect's home, where they discovered one of the house's rooms was locked.”
“We asked the suspect to unlock the door, but he refused under the excuse that the key to that particular room had been lost, so we violently broke into the room, and I found my son laying prostrate in a pool of blood,” Mr Agyei recounted, tears streaming down his face.
