Linford Kennedy Amankwaa, best known by his stage name Ko-Jo Cue, a Kumasi-based Ghanaian Hip-Hop/Afro-Pop artist, has praised Daddy Lumba as the world's most prominent musical act.
Daddy Lumba, according to the talented musician, has nothing on Michael Jackson, the late musical superstar.
“With the exception of his dramatic abilities, Michael Jackson would not be anywhere near Daddy Lumba if he had not been born in Ghana. The best in the world is Daddy Lumba. If he hadn't been born in Ghana, and because white people don't speak Twi, this is who he would have become.”
Ko-Jo went on to explain that language, to some extent, influences music appreciation.
“If outsiders knew Twi, Daddy Lumba would have been the greatest in the world, and I believe that every day.”
On Y102.5FM's Ryse N Shyne program, Ko-Jo Cue was questioned if Daddy Lumba had any influence on his music and he replied, No.
