The Adom singer announced this morning on Daybreak Hitz, "
“I had a feeling Adom would win the year's most popular song. The song was called Adom. It's not like it didn't deserve it in the first place. Adom, on the other hand, astonished me by winning that category.”
Diana's Adom took home the award for most popular song of the year, defeating Bosom P Yung's Atta Adwoa. Keche's No Dulling features Kuami Eugene. Kidi is having a good time. Kofi Jamar's Ekorso, Kuami Eugene's Open Gate, Medikal's La Hustle Sarkodie's Happy Day, Kidi's Say Cheese, Darkovibes' Inna song, and Yaw Tog's Sore.
Diana claims that she respects everyone and what they bring to the table in terms of music. She encourages all musicians and everyone involved in the music industry to give it their all in order to aid the stagnant industry as a whole.
Meanwhile, KiDi is still being chastised for losing the artist of the year award to Diana, with some claiming that he thought his secular music could compete with religious music.
KiDi's justification is that he only makes secular music; this does not make him wicked, as his stepfather is a devout Christian who takes his spiritual needs seriously.
